Since Toshiro has been approved I thought I'd do a little into, any other characters who wish to contribute or take part please feel free to do so.
Carrying on The Passed FireHe sat on a low-slung stone jutting from the ground, his silhouette backed against the cool hues of orange and glowing rosy pink that lit the dusk kissed sky. A gentle, welcome breeze teased through his short tousled brown hair and the young boy raised an arm to wipe the sweat still dripping from his brow. As he always did ever since he earned the honor of calling himself a Shinobi, after practice and training he always ran the winding uphill path to this tranquil spot. It was a large stone enshrined amongst a glade hidden away in the forest that spilled inside the village walls. Worn with age, but obviously well cared for, the dark stone face of the boulder had been engraved by a craftsman’s hands with the names of all the Shinobi whom had died in Konohagakures’ service since it’s official founding. It had taken him a week just to find her name hidden amongst the others closest to the latest. Kasumi Hagane… Toshiro bit on his lip to stifle the tears that already burned in his eyes at the ache the mere thought of her hollowed out in his chest. Trying to bury his emotion in action he pushed himself up from stone he sat on and propelled himself up the steps to the engraved stone. Laying his (hers, always hers) bow down against the shrine he also let the quiver slip from its fastening and laid it down on the ground. His fingers were rough with newly earned calluses as they traced over the deeply carved characters that made up her name. “I miss you so much big sis….” He muttered to the cold stone, pressing his palm against it and relishing in the way it seemed to drink in the heat of his exhaustion and pain to offer only soothing relief. “I don’t think things will ever really be good again without you, but slowly I’m starting to get where things are okay.” And if he sniffled at that and had to hastily scrub at his eyes to dash away the evidence of fresh tears but he had made sure that there was no one nearby to witness his weakness. Still, he was a man now! A Shinobi of the Leaf! He had to be stronger and better than this; like she had been. “Things have been kind of weird at home ever since I actually graduated. Mom and Dad keep looking at me like another heartbreak for them… And I guess I might end up being one. But everyone on this was for someone. But it’s kind of a comfort too y’know?” He said, taking a slow step back and blinking away the last of his tears. “To know that even if the worst happens my name will be on here with yours, and great grandfathers.” Standing straight now, shoulders unbowed Toshiro gave a bow of respect to the Memorial Stone. “But don’t worry, I won’t make it easy on anyone looking to try. You should see me shoot now.” He offered with a sad smile. “Not quite as good as you were, but I’m getting close. Just the other day I even managed to hit a thrown kunai on the move!” He exclaimed with no small amount of maudlin pride in his voice, recalling the very day she had shown him that trick. “Anyway, thanks for hearing me out Kasumi. Mom and Dad don’t want to talk about anything to do with me being a genin. I guess they’d just rather ignore it… It’s just…. They were so proud when you graduated, but now they won’t even acknowledge or congratulate me on it. I like to think you’d be proud of me though. I’m no chunin like you were big sis. But I’ll carry on your torch, and I’ll fight to protect our home and people.” He promised, as he re-attached the quiver by its belt around his waist and took up his (their) bow once more. “Thanks for listening Kasumi. I gotta get running, Night Maneuvers training tonight. I’ll see you soon.” Waving back over his shoulder to no one in particular by way of passing Toshiro began to head for the Training Grounds. He’d be working with a temporary team tonight, and it’d pay to be early

YUMI TOMANA ● demonic artist ● It was coming close to the time for night training but before then, Yumi had gotten their earlier in order to rest and continue drawing her preparations that she was to lazy to finish the night before. The sky was going down and the breeze continued to get cooler as time passed on. No one else seemed to be at the training spot which was located just on the outskirts of the village on the other side of the wall. Though normally its forbidden for Genin to be in such places alone Yumi and a few others were ordered to meet here for training.
It wasn't like leadership to be late and that was the off putting part in Yumi's head. And though she laid her back against a tree and continued to draw she also remained aware of the sounds of footsteps and shooken trees as she waited for the others who would hopefully come soon.
Yumi sighed thinking to herself, "I wonder what this training is all about and why this location."

The sun was just finalizing its westward journey and only a sliver of it still shone over the horizon. Darkness would be encroaching over Konoha soon, so Toshiro but on a slight burst of speed, running for the training grounds at a relaxed jog. He took a moment to appreciate the tranquil beauty of a mostly restored Konoha during the peaceful hours of twilight. They were fewer people on the streets, and of them no one really paid any mind to a genin running through the village. It didn’t take him long at all until he had reached the training grounds assigned to him that evening. The tall torii gate framed the entrance and he easily stepped under into the grounds. The first thing he noticed was that the assigned site was practically deserted, almost devoid of anyone save for a solitary young girl looking roughly about his age. She was working over something, but in the failing light he couldn’t make out what. Adjusting his quiver somewhat self-consciously before hiking his back pack up along his shoulders and openly walking towards her.
“Looks like it’s just us for now huh? I hope some others show up.” He said as he approached, bow casually held at his side. Now closer Toshiro could just make out that the girl was working on a scroll with an ink stained brush. Huh… industrious. Still he gave the girl a respectful nod as she looked up to him, his free hand extending in greeting. “I’m Toshiro,." He smiled. "Toshiro Hagane; it's nice to meet you miss…?”

YUMI TOMANA ● demonic artist ● The breeze continued to blow the through the trees and bushes as Yumi listened to the calm footsteps that approached her. She took in a deep breath before he made contact and as he spoke she stopped drawing finishing her last piece just in time. Closing the scroll and sticking the brush back into her pouch she then extended her hand and made connecton while looking up at him. Giving a calm smile and responded "Its nice to meet you Toshiro, my name is Yumi and it does seem like it just us here."
She then begins to look around more closely at the fact that the trainer had yet to show up. Letting go of his hand yumi then picked herself up off the ground and began to dust her white kimono off. "Im assuming you dont know the extent of this training session?" She asked looking in question at Toshiro.

By now the once bright and warm oranges and pinks of sunset had faded to the dark purple and bruised blues that spoke of the onset of true night. Already a pale sliver of the moon was visible just cresting over Hokage Mountain. The clearing was still, but not nearly so quiet as the crickets and cicadas began to sing in tandem with the cooling winds whisper while silent stars began to gleam in the darkened sky. “I’m afraid not.” Toshiro said merely shaking his head in response to the question. “All I was told was that I had to be here before night fell, and that I’d be working with a temporary team.” Looking up over canopy that surrounded the glade that formed the training grounds Toshiro sighed and readjusted his quiver from the small of his back to his hip settling it firmly onto his belt for an easy draw. “If we want to be technical, they might have a few more minutes of weak light before it’s actually night, but that’s cutting it sloppily close…. But since you asked I imagine you haven't been told much else either?" He asked almost resignedly, as if he was expecting a negative response and was bracing for its inevitability.

Yasashii made his way to the assigned training ground, Though not knowing why his teacher has asked him to be there at nightfall. Once arrived he looks upon the sky smiling along with his cheeks glowing light rosy pink seeing how pretty the moon is "How pretty..." He speaks to himself not really being aware that there are others in the same place. His eyes then went to look around the grounds before meeting Yumi along with a male shinobi that he never met before which made him feel nervous. He takes a few deep breaths then made his way to the pair
"Evening Yumi..." He says with eye contact to the female before turning to face the male bowing as he politely introducing himself.
"N-Nice to meet you, I am Yasashii" He says as he stands back up having a rather nervous smile on his face and yet really friendly in a sense, Yasashii heart was beating a little faster.

Distracted from his conversation with the newly introduced Yumi, Toshiro turned his head curiously to the side to look at the new arrival. The first thing that he noticed was their bright shock of pink hair, the second was the almost serene smile on their face as they looked up to the bright moon. The youth seemed enraptured by the view as Yumi and Toshiro seemed to both go unnoticed until they snapped back to reality.
Watching as the new comer approached them and greeted Yumi before turning and offering a perfunctorily polite bow and introducing himself Toshiro returned the bow and offered a slight smile of his own.
"A pleasure, my name is Toshiro." He said, looking back over Yasashii's shoulder. "And assuming no one else is coming - and I really cant see them being this late - that'd make us it. I don't suppose you have any idea what's going on do you?" He asked as he looked back to the others. "I haven't heard anything and there's been no sign of anyone else."

YUMI TOMANA ● demonic artist ● Yumi smiled at yasashii as he greeted her with his rather awkward motions and sense of nervousness. Unsure of how to feel about the teachers being this late Yumi began to look around as the others conversed. Looking deep into the wilderness Yumi noticed a pair of blood red eyes starring directly at the group of genin. She quickly tried to notify Toshiro, "Hey there's something over there!" she yelled and pointed in the direction behind Yasashii.
By the time the group would've responded the eyes would've been gone from sight once more. "Im not sure whats going on but there was fore sure something out there. Yumi grabs a kunai from her wrist pouch and stands guard.

Nara Azai | A rustling in the nearby bushes can be heard as they shake, soon the figure of a young male comes out, stepping into the moonlight. With ruffled dark hair and green eyes. It's Azai, known to some as well as "Slothzai", making perfect sense of why he was late. Some of the genins may seen him before or heard something about him. Azai walked lazily towards the group of genins with his hands in his pockets.
He yawns and pulls his right hand out of his pocket to scratch the back of his head as he talks in a lazy manner with his eyes half open.
"Hey guys, sorry...Am late."
Sniffs
"I overslept..."
Yawns again
"Maaan...I am so sleepy. Why did they have to dump this on me..."
He plops down on a big rock getting comfortable as he places his left elbow on his left leg and rests his head on his left hand.-
"So...Remind me...What are we supposed to do here tonight again?..."
Nickname: Slothzai |

Yasashii smiles hearing Toshiro words "Pleasure to meet you too Toshiro-San" He then shakes his head answering the question "I have no idea on what is going on or who will be here for the night, I just been told to come here by the teacher at the academy, Was hoping either one of you two would"
He blinks a few times hearing Yumi voice before looking around, but he was unable to see anything not too sure on what it could have been. He turns to face Yumi "I d-don't see anything there Yumi"
He hears a male's voice looking around before seeing Azai lazily and slowly moving to a rock. Once hearing the question he shook his head slightly "As I told the others... I have no idea what is going on Azai-Sempai..."

Just as the full group had gathered with the tardy addition of the Chunin Azai as he slowly shuffled his way into the clearing all of the assorted Genin and the sole Chunin can hear a voice that seems to echo through out the open glade. "Chunin Azai... Two minutes late. This has been marked." And on that declaration a tall lithe figure seeming popped into existence near the center of the gathering. They were wearing dark blue shinobi pants as well as black sleeveless shirt and a jounins vest over that leaving his long tanned arms bare. His headband was neatly tied over his leg, the metal plate resting easily over his artery. He had a relatively unremarkable face except for the rather vicious looking scar that twisted his lips into a permanent snarl, though his slate grey eyes held no sign of hostility. Running a gloved hand through his wild brown hair he grinned and took a slow, almost sarcastic bow.
"However, now that everyone has finally arrived and introduced themselves allow me to do the same. My Name is Masudo Inuzuka, special-jounin of Konohagakure. I'm your instructor for your training tonight, and you'll be working with me me and my partner Shou. You might have seen him earlier" The Instructor said with a nod to Yumi. "He won't be openly joining us as he's got his own little part to play in these games."
"Now then on to the matter at hand. I have been tasked with assisting in training the younger generations of Shinobi, as such you'll be running this course as a temporary team. I expect to see good things from each of you based upon your reports so lets get started." Masudo said as he began to head to the opposite side of the clearing from the main gate. There was a tall cairn of stones pilled up on this side, with a worn and ragged red banner fluttering from the near peak of the construct.
"We'll be starting from this point and by morning will have returned to it as tonight I'll be running you through a bit of a gauntlet. It's about a six hour course from start to finish and it's now roughly 11:05. Anyone unable or unwilling to make it back to this marker by sun-up will receive a failing mark and will be submitted for extended stamina training under me. Other than that follow the trail along these markers, and keep yourselves sharp. Shou and I will be having a bit of fun at your expense, you may react in anyway that does not damage your teammates up to and including lethal force. Don't worry; Shou and I can take it." The Inuzuka special jounin instructed as he began to head down past the stone cairn along a rough and narrow dirt path that led into the forest before shouting over back behind his shoulder. "Oh! And remember, as of now this is a team, I expect you all to act like it." Was his final remark before he began to jog down along the path.
The track itself was little more than a particularly worn game trail amidst the verdant growth of Konoha's forest. The moon broke through the canopy only marginally, setting down pale beams of light to lance through the darkness. The trail even at a good firm pace takes roughly an hour and a half to complete at a full jog through rough terrain as the path dipped and rose with the natural landscape around it. Throughout the night you can hear the sound of crickets and frogs, as well as the call of other noctunal birds and predators. Only ever so often does anyone make out the sight of a large shaggy black beast loping easily alongside them before it disappears back into the darkness.

◄ Toshiro Hagane - Konoha Archer
Toshiro had his bow raised and arrow drawn as Yumi points a kunai into the shadows and shouts that there's something lurking among the trees. His hand only nominally eases on the draw as an obviously Nara chunin steps out of the shadows and trees into the clearing. Toshiro had to suppress a sigh. If this was their instructor he's not sure he'd be getting anything out this. Toshiro didn't consider himself stupid by any stretch, but the Nara clan cultivated an air of intellectual superiority for good reason. They renown for their intelligence only ever being really rivaled by their laziness. Toshiro was about to adress the Chunin when another voice spoke up, the sound seemingly filling the clearing. Turning around to look for the source of the sound Toshiro just managed to catch a glimpse of the ninja as they practically appeared from thin air. The young genin nearly drawing his bow back once again and firing in surprise though he's able to resist the ingrained response.
"Apologies Inuzuka-sama." He said as he released the tension on the bow gradually and placed his arrow back into it's quiver before settling into attention. Paying close attention to the Special Jounin Toshiro cast a quick glance around and out in the shadowed forest, catching only a glimpse of a shift bestial silhouette before his attention was brought back to the Inuzuka instructor. Following after him Toshiro stopped at the pile of stones and tried to cement it's location in his internal compass before he began to follow the Instructor down the mountainous forest path. The rough shod ground and trees providing enough scree and obtrusions to be just this side of annoying for a genin his height as he was constantly raising his arms to cover his face from errant branches.

YUMI TOMANA ● demonic artist ●
Seeing that Azai had walked out and shortly after Masudo, she lowered her stance and shoved her kunai back into her arm pouch. Letting out a sigh as the tension was now relieved by her late instructors she listened as Masudo gave the current briefing of the mission. Nodding her head she quickly started to follow Toshiro, hitting any branches that got in her way. " Ill take lead for now." Yumi said in a whispering voice to Toshiro wishing to gain some type of tactic without the instructors hearing.

Nara Azai | Azai heard the voice of the instructor and that he noted that Azai was 2 minutes late. Azai's facial expressions remained unchanged~sleepy, bored and uninterested as he replied.
"Only two minutes late?...I thought that it was at least five or ten...Oh well, might do better next time."
He said and then continued to listen to the instructor's instructions. He took note in his mind of everything said and the things that happened around as he then lazily stood up and started to just as lazily follow the others. He reached the pile of stones with the flag then proceeded further as he began to smile a little, Slothzai came up with an idea, maintaining the mostly lazy expression on his face. As soon as he entered the trail down the mountainous forest path he disappeared from everyones sight. Nickname: Slothzai |

Yasashii blinks a few times hearing someone saying that Azai is 2 minutes late, He looks around being curious and rather nervous not knowing who it is. He bows at the male hearing he has introduced himself to the group as he stutters speaking back "W-welcome Masudo-Sempai" Hearing the test is mainly about Stamina, Yasashii cheeks turn pale white hearing those words as he does not have much of a stamina himself.
