Attribute Skills
Attribute Skills represent your natural abilities and honed aptitude.
Control
Your Control Attribute Skill is used when physical coordination or precise chakra usage is needed to succeed. Basic ninja arts, such as walking on water, creating clones, or creating minor illusions often rely on your control. Also, training in Control gives you additional Chakra equal to your Control modifier. Example Stunts include:
Increased Leap- Able to leap +2 zones when in combat.
Intelligence
Your Intelligence Attribute Skill is used whenever your brainpower is called upon to execute a plan, analyze a situation, or recall information. Example Stunts include:
Battlefield Tactics – Gain +2 when you use your Intelligence to Attack an opponent who is "distracted" by an ally.
Situation Report – Once per session, you may recall important information you’ve gained through preparation and research. The information will be provided by the GM and may come in the form of an Advantage.
Power
Your Power Attribute Skill is used when you apply brute force or overwhelming chakra
. Example Stunts include:
Heavenly Strike – When you use your Power to make a melee Attack and are unsuccessful, once per scene the character can Create the Advantage on the zone “Collateral Damage".
Dangerous Energy – Whenever you empower your body with a ninjutsu technique(has to make narrative sense) and attack with power attribute, you gain +1 shift.
Sensing
Your Sensing Attribute Skill is used whenever you attempt to perceive the world around you. This can include looking for a hidden enemy, listening for distant footsteps.
Example Stunts include:
Expert Tracker – Gain +2 when you use Sensing to Overcome a hidden opponent by analyzing your environment.
Chakra Sensitive – Once per session, when you use Sensing to Create an Advantage by analyzing your opponent’s chakra, the GM will provide you with hints about your enemy’s strengths, weaknesses.
Speed
Your Speed Attribute Skill is used whenever you attempt to move fast or react quickly.
Example Stunts include:
Replacement Technique – Whenever you use Speed to Defend and you Succeed with Style, you may Create the Advantage “Where Did They Go?”.
Body Flicker – Once per scene, on a failed defense roll gain a re-roll and go with the higher of the two.
Charge- Once per session move your complete speed (zones) and attack an opponent in 1 action.
Spirit
Your Spirit Attribute Skill is used when you attempt to apply your personality or when your mental resolved is tested. This can include inspiring an ally, lying to a guard, or resisting pain. Also, training in Spirit gives you additional Mental Stress boxes equal to your Spirit modifier. Example Stunts include:
Never Give In – You gain +2 whenever you use your Spirit to Defend against pain, fear, or intimidation.
Magnetic Personality – You gain +2 when you use your Spirit to Create an Advantage to charm someone.
Stealth
Your Stealth Attribute Skill is used whenever you attempt to hide something. This can include sneaking into a village unnoticed or secretly planting an explosive note during a frantic fight. Example Stunts include:
Shadow Walker – You make no noise when you Move. In addition, you gain +2 whenever you use your Stealth to Defend against attempts to detect your presence while you hide.
Hunter Nin – Once per scene, you can use Stealth to Create an Advantage by positioning yourself near an enemy who is unaware of your presence, opponents who are unaware of you may not Defend against your Attacks.
Stamina
Your Stamina Attribute Skill is used whenever you must endure physical abuse, rise above fatigue. Also, training in Stamina gives you additional Physical Stress boxes equal to your Stamina modifier. Example Stunts include:
Tough- When you use stamina to defend against a physical attack gain a +1 due to your toughness.
